The upgrade introduced fully customised Portland bar stools, xenolith tabletops and bespoke table bases—each piece selected and crafted to complement the character and warmth of the 1932 interior. The new seating elevates comfort and durability without compromising the venue’s iconic island bar, a feature long celebrated for fostering conversation, connection and the kind of spontaneous socialising that has defined this pub for generations.
