On the corner of Brisbane and Talbragar Streets in the heart of Dubbo, The Castlereagh Hotel is a historic country pub known for hearty meals, cold beer and live sport on the big screens. Locals affectionately call it "The Reagh".
Working alongside Darren Mah Design, Nextrend supplied and installed the furniture package for the hotel's refreshed bar, dining and outdoor spaces, delivered in two stages.
Bar-height seating is at the centre of the design. Tiramisu barstools with black frames and tan fabric seats and backrests sit alongside Eiffel 750 barstools with natural frames, giving the bar a relaxed, layered look. These are paired with A-Frame bar tables in a range of lengths and heights, including mobile tables fitted with castors, all topped with compact laminate in Notaio Walnut, Antico Oak and Casentino Beech.
Outdoors, Portofino armchairs in dark grey with light brown cushions create a comfortable, weather-ready space for long afternoons, while A-Frame table-height frames provide practical dining options throughout the venue.
The result is a warm, contemporary fitout that respects the character of this much-loved Dubbo pub while giving it more comfortable, flexible spaces for its regulars and visitors alike.
