Tucked in at the southern end of Werri Beach, Gerringong Bowling & Recreation Club is a much-loved meeting place for locals and visitors on the NSW South Coast. With rolling green hills on one side and glimpses of the ocean on the other, the club wanted its interiors to match the setting and better support the way its members dine, socialise and gather today.
Nextrend delivered the club's 2026 refresh as a complete package, bringing together project management, demolition, joinery, electrical, flooring, furniture supply and installation. New Axminster carpet was laid throughout, and the bistro was finished with custom Polytec Prime Oak joinery, a display and storage cabinet, an integrated open-front fridge, rattan pendant lighting and new screens. A centrepiece Ecosmart peninsula fireplace now anchors the lounge, creating a warm focal point for cooler evenings.
Seating was designed around comfort and a relaxed coastal palette. Custom Atlanta dining chairs with teak-look frames and large upholstered backs fill the bistro, alongside custom upholstered dining booths in single-sided, back-to-back and planter-backed configurations finished with vertically stitched panels. Mawson tub chairs in two retro-inspired fabrics bring colour and softness to the lounge, while custom Charleston barstools line the bar.
Tables were built to suit each zone, with Tasmanian Oak timber tops inlaid with Marmoleum, oak-veneer tops and timber-edged compact laminate tops in Portland Stone, paired with Contour dining, twin and dry bar bases and A-Frame bar frames. Brooklyn trestle tables add flexibility for functions, and the project also included a new boardroom and office fit-out.
The result is a brighter, more welcoming club that feels at home in its coastal surroundings, with spaces that work for a quiet lunch, a busy bistro service or a community event.
