Overlooking the Balonne River in the heart of St George, The Australian Hotel is a well-established regional venue where locals gather, travellers unwind and families come together. Offering a recently refurbished bistro, bar, accommodation and a spacious beer garden, the hotel combines traditional country hospitality with contemporary dining and entertainment spaces.
Nextrend supplied furniture for the hotel’s beer garden, bar and bistro, bringing together a broad combination of stocked commercial products and custom-made furniture. Each product was selected to suit the style, function and service requirements of the different areas while maintaining a consistent look throughout the venue.
In the beer garden, weather-resistant furniture from Siesta Exclusive provided practical and comfortable seating for outdoor dining and socialising. The selection included Maya Bar Stools, Snow Chairs and Tom Bar Stools, all designed to withstand the demands of busy commercial environments and Queensland’s outdoor conditions.
Inside the venue, Nextrend’s stocked Austin Stools were complemented by custom backless Tiramisu Stools. Developed specifically for the project, the backless Tiramisu design proved so successful that it has since been introduced into Nextrend’s stocked product range. Custom Phoenix Chairs provided a further tailored element, helping establish a distinctive and comfortable bistro setting.
A variety of table configurations was supplied across the hotel using Isaac, Disco, Square and Rectangle Table Bases, along with A-Frame Bar Tables. These were paired with a combination of compact laminate, Werzalit and melamine table tops, allowing the materials and finishes to be matched to the individual requirements of the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The completed fitout demonstrates the flexibility of combining dependable stocked products with custom furniture and finishes. Through one coordinated furniture package, Nextrend helped The Australian Hotel create functional, welcoming and durable spaces suited to relaxed dining, drinks and gatherings throughout the venue.
