PLASA Chair by Paged

The shape of the PLASA chair draws on classic bent cafe chairs, which can be seen in the shape of the backrest. This reference is filtered through new wood processing technologies and the assumption of maximum reduction of the furniture's weight without losing its strength and stability necessary on the contract market and in the comfort of your home. Thanks to the appropriately profiled plywood on the seat and backrest, Plasa provides comfortable seating. Additionally, the seat can be equipped with an upholstered pad. Thanks to its low weight, the chair is pleasant to use every day, when it is pulled out and put under the table. An important feature of this model, which will work well in commercial spaces such as cafes or restaurants, is also stacking.

DESIGNER

Nikodem Szpunar

Designer. He graduated in Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. His area of activity includes the design of furniture and interior design objects, both for industrial and short-run production. In addition to his collaborations with industry, he also creates paintings painted with his own tools and projects on the borderline of art.

He has won numerous awards, including in the Good Design, International Furniture Design Award (Asahikawa), Make me! and Must Have competitions. He won the Designer of the Year 2019 title from Arena Design and Designer of the Year 2021 from the Institute of Industrial Design. His designs have been presented at international trade fairs, exhibitions and industry events in Berlin, Milan, London, New York, Hong Kong and Japan. He is the co-author of the AlterEgo collection, awarded in the Good Design 2024 competition in the Best Polish Design category, for which he created ICHO-MIO and the PLASA chair. For Paged Meble, he also designed the PROP family of furniture and the TUK collection.
